The observatory is situated in Engelhardsberg, Germany (northern bavaria).

The shelter is a wooden hut with a roll off roof, build by Knut Schäffner http://www.large-galaxie.de. I bought it second hand, when he upgraded to his new Baader dome observatory. The roof must be rolled on/off manually, an automatic control is in preparation.
